Right, tonight's was DULL, i mean the colour is dull, or maybe my photograph was dull as well. I don't know, must be something to do with the psychiatry block. We just started on our psychiatry classes and apparently CFCS (Some visit kampung to do intervention stuffs) just couldn't make my day satisfied.
Not commenting on these though.
The vegetable tonight is cabbage, Teochew fry/stir cabbage, i like the taste SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH. There were shrimps tonight!!! Yay! I was so happy. Elatedly, i finish the vege very quickly. HAHHAHAHA, it's nice, i love it, a perfect score could be given so easily. There was no "But" after that. HAHAHAHAHAHA
Curry chicken with POTATO. I love potatoes. Frankly speaking, Potatoes are so nice, especially when they are fried, the chicken is well cooked. I however, yes, there is a "BUT" for this, find it quite oily for the day. Still, i like curry, thick curry is sure my favourite. Nah, not a perfect score for this tiffin though. xD
Off i pop to PBL Questions. xD Still i have CFCS Recycle Bins to worry about. Maybe after that. Oh right, i would post some weekends deal, i guessed? I mean when i am free. See ya later.

Day 17 - Curry xD
Today's dish was rather normal, but the curry definitely excites me.
Frequent appearances, doesn't have to comment much. xD
The same works for this too XD Frequent APPEARANCE! BORING! I guess i need new tiffin menus. xD i'll talk.
Right, i love the curry, it is almost as same as my childhood memory of a Nasi Lemak seller selling Nasi Lemak with Curry. As i recalled, it's rather tasty. I have no idea why the prawn during my childhood years are so small but i am sure that tonight i got a big prawn. LOL. Talking about prawn, why isn't it deveined? I like deveined prawns! xD Curry is really one of the best. That's what everyone should get to celebrate. HAH!

Day 16 - Hmm, pretty amazing. LOL!
Today's meal was rather complicated for me over the dinner. Lala, just as what Ht Ununu said a few days back then, simplify it, lala appeared in tiffins. OMG! I hate lala.
The lala was kinda spicy. Together with some ginger, it definitely taste like Teochew style, actually, i am kinda confused whether this is Teochew or not, but erm, definitely this is not what i like to eat. Eventually, you will ask me how did i rate this? No, i didn't. My roommate said so. xD
Kangkung again? Duh! It reminds me of one thing only, Lenggang Lenggang Kangkung. Lol! I kinda feels like this tiffins are making its appearance at the fame walk already xD However, today's not salty. HAHAHAHHAHAA! improvements means a lot.

And, finally, the ginger cooked pork. Non-Halal though. This meal is rather not salty and is not tasteless. I actually is going to recommend this dish a lot. The oil from the pork was rather cooked to a standard that it melts in the gravy, only the tiniest bit of fat is available in the bite. That's also because this part is the lean meat part too. I'm afraid i still give a high rating for this though. xD

Day 15 - A rather favourite day except for the vege. xD
Today is rather interesting. I somewhat is happy to see eggs and beans again.

Eggs and beans are considered some of the best in certain hotels in the world. Particularly with scrambled eggs. This dish however, does not taste exactly like what i anticipated, though the tomato paste kinda different by a little when comparing with the can baked bean. But overall, it sure does its job.
The fish is fried and later some tomyam-like gravy was pour onto it. The scent of the lemon grass still sticks in my mouth after i ate it. Guess what, the fish was pretty bony. i hate bony fishes. xD Overall, it taste good though, i pretty love this dish except BONES. i hate bones.
Guess i took this photo in square mistakenly, had to use it too. The taste is rather boring and dull. It doesn't have much of a garlic-y taste. xD i missed garlic. xD but too much garlic ain't good as well.

The sky was crying heavily today. LOL! 很感动因为aunty雨中送菜。
Oh MY! 菜心. This time I got a lot of stems. Simply dislike it. Not forgetting, the oat-fried chicken and the sawi are the repetition.
This is the first time I got 豆油鸡。。。蛋。 Kent got it for the second time, I suppose. I love the taste. Too sad it was just an egg. I mean without chicken.
Nothing much to comment. I hope you did enjoy your dinner today.

7/12/14 menu
So I had a short sweet escape during the weekends. And Kent was the one updating this during the period. Well, as now I am back, guess I will have to stay committed in updating the menus again.
My friend introduced me a new App -- InstaSize. And so, here is the collage for Sunday's menu.
The main dish was FISH. I did not get the fish tail part this time. :( What I would like to say about this dish is that, the sauce tasted MARVELOUSLY DELICIOUS. Thai-style sauce I suppose.
Chicken satay and mixed stir fry vegetable of this type were the repetition here. The taste, however, was not as tasty as the previous one. I simply do not like the taste of bell pepper.
p/s : Auntie asked if I eat lala. Of course I said a BIG yes to her. Lala is my favorite food! :D

Day 12 - It's not Pro"portion"al !

Somehow to me, today's meal doesn't really cover a two person portion at this time of the day. I kinda felt hungry even though i have finish my dinner. Weirdly speaking, however, i didn't eat any oat today. LOL, which actually makes me having to buy a Magnum Almond ice cream half past eight.
Hui Ting seemed to be still eating her mum's meal. While she's decided to stop for the few past days, i bet she will be continuing her work tomorrow. Since she had arrived, i guess she just felt alone now after some quality time with her parents and siblings. HAHAHAHA!

So, this was actually a Day 1 meal. I pretty much don't enjoy repetition, which apparently, had been going on twice in the past 12 days. Unlike 12 days of gift for Christmas, i am pretty sure a repetition can't be comparable with a gift. No comments, i hate things like this. Except for fishballs and taiwan sausages. That cucumber however, is pretty tasty. xD

Puay Leng or Poh Choy |
Poh Choy as in Cantonese or Puay Leng as in Hokkien, i have no idea what it is called in Malay or English. This is my favourite vegetable. Although i can see a lot of oil droplets, nah, it's actually not very oily. In fact, there was generous amount of carrots too, which i totally enjoy. I wished there was dried shrimps inside though. 7/10 xD

Chicken Chop |
Chicken chop which yea, is really chopped. Taste soft enough, not salty, not oily, no scent of charring. Definitely is tasty. The inner core of the chicken is really cooked well, with no lacking in the flavour of chicken. The portion however, is quite small, 8/10; 2 gone marks for the portion xD
That's it for the day, weekends are supposed to be fun! It's not fun actually, there are lots of stuff to do, with so little time. Yikes!

Day 11 : Wow. (Yes, with a fullstop!)
So, actually, this is today's meal. It is quite delicious actually, apart from the fried fish, basically i hate fried fish, because they tend to leave me some souvenirs in my throat every single time i eat fried fish. Actually, today's meal to be exact, is very good. That fish though, ruined the experience.
Fish, fish, fish. I like steamed fish. Mainly because back in my hometown, people use to steamed them with sour plum and pickled salted vegetables. I can say, the fried fish though, totally feels kinda dry. However, i kinda get that the fish of the day is sardine. Anyway, i am not gonna spend time writing this. However, if i could get a Teochew Style Steamed Fish, i will definitely post here.
Chinese broccoli is actually known as chinese kale, which apparently is what is known as Kailan based on its Cantonese name though. It is usually cook with salted fish to avoid the bitter taste. However, the cook of the day decided not to make it salty for me. So, it's actually bitter with TONNES OF GARLIC. I LOVE GARLIC SO MUCH. 8/10 i would give, maybe it deserve a 9 too xD
This over here i believe is Ground Pork (Non-halal, sorry guys and girls, if you are offended) cooked with Dark Soy Sauce. It has a small tinge of spiciness which is exactly the taste i love. I guessed i have to admit this is really one dish which i have taste so far that have the type of taste that i really love. The ground pork is soft, having a texture that suits even a child to eat and that little tinge of spiciness. Woohoo, it totally should be listed as a MUST HAVE! LOL! 9/10 That one point less is however, due to the oiliness of this dish, which could be slightly reduced.
Ohwl, that oat, is a replacement of rice, don't worry about it, it's actually instant oat that all you need to do is just add hot water to have it instantly. I kinda love it and it definitely helps preventing constipation. Furthermore, it's low cholesterol. If you never try one, YOU NEED TO TRY IT.

So, the meat of the day is Herbal Chicken. I like the taste although it does really taste kind of salty too. However, pretty sure they all taste like that. This dish used to appear in chinese wedding ceremony, in the aluminium foil packed dish. My place definitely has one of the best. xD i'm not judging much but this works for me too. I hope it's more herbal rather than taste saltiness if it appears again in future. 7/10 xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
So, Ht Ununu missed one Bean Curd dish which she definitely will be blessed it appeared, one egg which i have no idea what to say and one not so bad herby chicken, which she will definitely complain. xD I though wished that Shark's Fins here with the chicken xD even if it is fake one xD it would taste much better in that base. XD By the title of the day, it definitely taste kind of a salty today. I'm no fan of hypertension though, so i guessed i hate salt. Off i pop to sleep i go. xD

Day 9 - Awesome Tiffins!

I was the last one to pick up my tiffin carrier this evening due to my obsession with le newly bought red lipstick. LOL! Had a hearty chatter with Aunty and Uncle. They were selling yam rice in SP six seven years ago! They are so familiar with SP and this just made me kinda like them more. Uncle even offered to hitch hike me back to sp on Thursday night! HAHA!Sorry but I am going back tonight. Talking about yam rice, oh my goodness, at my place in Penang, there was one Bak Kut Teh with Yam Rice dealer, i wished i am there to taste that awesomeness. I wished i have the time to go back but with all those journals to read, there isn't time to travel. I wanted to eat Magnum Ice Cream though, and that Honey Comb Ice Cream at MilkCow #Movember xD
The main dish for tonight is SWEET SOUR FISH! My most favourite cooking style of fish and again, I got FISH TAIL PART!The taste was exactly the same as that cooked by mummy. <3 <3 <3
I would rate a 10/10 for the imagined telepathy. LOL!
Right, the taste of the onion and cucumber slices totally matches the sour taste. I wondered though which kind of vinegar did they add to the dish. Anyway, i think i've taste somewhere else that's kind better. But really, in Kelantan, this is already counted as one of the best though. xD 9/10 i guessed?? xD
The second main dish was ''meat roll''. 肉卷。GOSH! I love this! 顶!This was actually the second time this roll appeared in our Pandora box. What I can say is, I will never get bored eating this! XD

Hence, the ''vegetable'' tonight is 梅菜. Meigan cai or better known as the pickled Chinese mustard. Auntie cooked it together with 扣肉。And hence, this dish is 梅菜扣肉! Gosh! I can't believe I was actually eating 梅菜扣肉. It kept appearing in 天天天晴, a Hong Kong drama series and I have been craving for it since weeks ago. Simply love this.

I don't exactly think this is 梅菜扣肉 (Picked Chinese Mustard cooked with Pork) though, because i don't see any meat inside. LOL. Anyway, this dish taste real good. It is not oily, it still maintain that chinese mustard crunchiness and it has a very nice taste which i hate when i was a child. i would definitely give this a 10/10 rating. To speak some history, this dish is actually a dish that once served the Qing Dynasty's royal family especially that Picked Chinese Mustard in Steamed Buns. It is usually found in vegetarian stores in Penang though.
Thanks Auntie for feeding me with sumptuous dishes tonight. My stomach is very happy. :D

Day 8: Tiring Day
Kent's Opinion
Well, apparently the past few days are awkwardly tiring, since i've been very busy trying to finish up my elective stuff as well as my Clinical Teaching session. Luckily, there was no PBL Question (basically it's Problem Based Learning) for this week. Well, tiredness is an excuse for not writing only, i guess imma writing it after Hui Ting amend the past two days.
Apparently, today's meal are overall quite oily. Speaking frankly, we were trying to cut down carbohydrate. However, since i'm very unsatisfied with my CT presentation (which obviously is my wrong), i've downed a few whole potatoes into my mouth. HAHAHAHAHA!
By the time the dishes were here, i'm dead full. I never know that one can do that though. So, there were some fried chicken, which i doesn't feel like eating, Hui Ting even told me that she hated it. I thought she would compliment it but that doesn't work out at all.
The fried chicken is to me, a little bit medium rare, HAHAHAHA, but well, they are not as tasty as KFC though. Comparing to my hometown where there was someone who fried chicken at a tastier combination of ingredients, i really have nostalgic memories over that. I remembered that old guy who gave me the chili sauce which you know; in the chinese society, they are quite mixed up with water, but i like it as long as it is not sweet but spicy; that is much more tasty. At a scale of 10 for the tastiest, and 1 for nah... i'd score this a 5.13445.... xD
This is you know fishball stuff, i kinda hate this actually, i prefer cooked food not processed food. So, i'm going to try to skip this stuff, i guess HT doesn't have anything to comment?
This is actually quite tasty. Apparently it is spicy enough. Would have taste better if they added some small shrimps, you know right shrimps actually make the taste better and you don't have to add salt anymore. The dish however, is slightly lacking in the crispyness of the vegetable itself. I have no idea, still this is considered the best dish of the day. On a scale of 10 as the best, i'd give that a 7.

Day 6 + Day 7
The prima donna:
Since Kent was busy for his clinical case presentation, so I was held responsible to update Day 6 & 7 food.
You would not believe this. I would normally cook on weekends no matter how busy I was BUT after I placed the tiffin order from Aunty Mandy, I transformed myself into a sloth. Cooking seems to be something unnecessary. WAE? Aunty does cook nutritious food. Prior the ''subscription'', I would be like eating crap during the weekdays. And now, I am well fed on every single day, except on Friday. So things go topsy-turvy. I would now eat crap on Friday and I would FORCE myself to look for lame excuses to avoid cooking on Friday. (So, I paid the retribution last Friday. I got food poisoning AGAIN like after three weeks time. Facepalm.)
DAY 6
I <3 FISH
Yeah, fried fish cooked in bean sauce was the main dish on Saturday. Describe its taste -- typical home-cooked taste. And I was really happy for getting the fish tail part. The sauce was a little salty tho' and the fish seemed to be over-fried. Nevertheless, it was a good dish.
I HEART BROCCOLI
The second dish was stir fried mixed vegetables. Simple and nice. Aunty may consider making it a little stickier by adding a little more corn flour, perhaps.
THE SURPRISE OF THE NIGHT
The moment I opened the tiffin carrier, I smelled something like otak-otak. And the dish turned out to be ROLLED CHICKEN SATAY wrapped in pandan leaves. I swear that this tasted so nice. As the saying goes, save the best for last. I was reluctant to eat them up as they were too unbelievably scrumptious.

DAY 7
So, the main dish for Sunday was soy-sauce chicken with sliced ginger. The taste was not bad. However, I personally feel that the taste of ginger should be enhanced a little more.
Cabbage with Chinese vermicelli. Salty. And the proportion was large. IF it was to be eaten individually, it tasted not bad.
The third dish was the saltiest among the three. Steamed egg with minced pork. So the food theme for Sunday is SALTY. Sad to say I could not finish eating them all up in a shot. And I could not help myself but to chug lots of water. Just not my taste.
